Dollars and sense: examining academic investments in urban continuation school programs

This study evaluates the effectiveness of continuation education high school investments at an urban Bay Area school district using cultural responsive practices. Soliciting perspectives of administrative stakeholders, data was collected to determine whether cultural responsive contexts are considered from a budgetary stance to support success in continuation high school programs. This study is intended to inform future district strategies to promote cultural responsive practices and increase program access and equity in its goal of ensuring all students achieve college or career readiness standards by high school graduation.
